All of the reasons Vlad listed are true. html4all is striving to
provide a respectful environment for discussion and collaboration.

But I always encourage people to join [1] [2] the working group, when
possible. html4all can help raise awareness and be a stepping-stone to
have non-members join.

In addition to what Vlad listed, some people have very personal
reasons, which I won't go into here for why they don't join or why
they join and later quit.

But beyond all of this, html4all has a mission, vision and goals. Our
mission is to ensure that future generations of HTML support equal
access for people regardless of their physical and cognitive abilities
or disabilities, and strengthen its capacity to express semantics. The
main working group should ideally uphold the mission, but that hasn't
been happening. html4all is important for the future of HTML.

Best Regards,
Laura
