General Information

Wikimedia provides pretty good internal help. It includes:

Some HTML is allowed in the Wiki markup like headings, paragraphs, etc. I found it easier using regular HTML where I can, instead of Wiki markup.

  2. Select Upload file from the Toolbox to be taken to a form to be completed. On that Upload file form:
  3. Use the "Browse..." button to locate and select the image that you want to upload from your local hard drive.

The Wiki markup to add alt text is:

Example:

long descriptions

You can also provide (or edit) a long description/Summary for your image after you upload it.

  1. Click on image and it will take you to a long description/details page.
  2. Edit that page and supply your detailed long description there.
