General Information
Wikimedia provides pretty good internal help. It includes:

HTML
Some HTML is allowed in the Wiki markup like headings, paragraphs, etc. I found it easier using regular HTML where I can, instead of Wiki markup.

The key to making links is using brackets. The html <a> element isn't allowed for wiki links.

Talk/Discussion Pages
You can use the talk/discussion to add notes, explanations etc. They are also used to interact with each other and exchange comments and ideas about the page at hand.

Images

Uploading
- Login. To upload an image you must be logged in.
- Select Upload file from the Toolbox to be taken to a form to be completed. On that Upload file form:
- Use the "Browse..." button to locate and select the image that you want to upload from your local hard drive.
- The "Destination filename" will automatically be filled in.
- Add your Summary/long description.
- Select or click "Upload this file".

The Wiki markup to add alt text is:
[[image:name | alt text]]
Example:
[[image:brackets_color.gif | Two bold brackets enclose HTML 4 all.]]

long descriptions
You can also provide (or edit) a long description/Summary for your image after you upload it.
- Click on image and it will take you to a long description/details page.
- Edit that page and supply your detailed long description there.
