So would you therefore agree that it is not "[the] alt attribute [that] would do
more harm and hurt accessibilty more than lack of it" but rather "[the incorrect
use of the] alt attribute [that] ..." ? If you would, then this is no reason
for not requiring use of the attribute, but what is therefore required
in addition is a campaign to make authors aware of the correct use thereof.
