Phil,

I can appreciate the ironic humor of the idea, but I believe that we must be
very careful here that we do not come off as "fringe"; any conscious goading
of the WHAT WG will do just that.  What I believe we need to portray is a
viable and reasoned alternative to some of the poppycock that is coming from
the WHAT WG camp ("noalt"???), and to that end an almost "neutral" and
non-confrontational "logo" is in order.  I've publicly chastised the WHAT WG
for their demeanor and attitude on their IRC channel on  more than one
occasion, and am loathe to give them the opportunity to turn the tables on
us.

So while I can privately appreciate the motivator behind the suggestion, I
do not honestly think it will benefit us in any way.
